This park is fully funded and breaking ground soon! This is an exciting new park concept for the City of Baraboo. This is a tentative depiction of the possible site of the Splash Pad. Stay tuned for more details on when it will be open for splashing!
Thank you to Festival Foods Foods,
Teel Plastics, the Village of West Baraboo, the Everything's Possible Foundation!, the Tanner Zimmerman Memorial Fund and the Community Foundation of South Central Wisconsin,
Thank you to Baraboo State Bank and their employees for your in-house fundraiser!
Thank you to Prevail Bank, Baraboo Young Professionals, Kwik Trip, Modern Woodmen, the Wayman Family in memory of their son Peyton Munch
and last but certainly not least, our naming sponsor the Kowalke Family!
We have just started to dream and plan and fundraise for this project! Hoping to get our fundraising efforts kicked off in 2023!
With input from the public, we would like to help our Parks and Rec Dept make some improvements such as more shade and benches, possibly a wash station and an agility course!
There is an exciting off road biking opportunity being developed at Chief Naaga Keramani Park! Located on the former Jackson Farm property, just east of Baraboo off of Hwy 33, is a 24-acre forested parcel where off road biking trails have been built and are being expanded. Your donation will go towards trail development, invasive species removal, habitat restoration, and signage. To be notified of future volunteer work days, please visit the Chief Naaga Keramani Park Trail Conditions page..
Thanks to a generous donation from the Everything's Possible Foundation, the City of Baraboo is installing it's first ever Inclusive Playground in Pierce Park near the hockey pavilion! The playground is named the It's Possible Playground and will be built in early 2024, ready for use in May of next year.
The playground features a solid poured in place rubber surface and accessible features. The $384,000 donation presented to the City by the Foundation represents a commitment to provide accessible, inclusive modern play equipment in city parks for generations to enjoy.
Thanks to members of the Friends of Baraboo Parks (who have included pursuing additional inclusive playgrounds in their aggressive park improvement plans) who helped select the final design from 9 proposals submitted. Keep watching as we update the progress of construction, and announce a ribbon cutting next spring!
